In 1991, Bob Starbird and I were awarded the CINE Golden Eagle for our work on the documentary film, “American History: It’s Beneath Your Feet.”
In 2012, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution awarded their “Outstanding Book Award” to Ethan, Mohamed, and me for the publication of Online Dispute Resolution: Theory and Practice.
In 2020, as I left the NVMS Board, I was awarded the Bernhart Award for service to the community mediation service.
While serving as Chief of Staff for the National Mediation Board, I was awarded a Distinguished Service Award.
In 2017, I recieved the Mary Parker Follett Award from the Association for Conflict Resolution for innovation in the field of dispute resolution.
